Parker Computer System Warranty Information

Parker Computer warrants the products it sells to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year following the date of purchase. During the one-year warranty period, Parker Computer will repair or replace (at its option), any defective products or parts at no additional charge, provided that the product is returned by carry-in or prepaid shipping to Parker Computer, 24 Wethersfield Road, Bellingham, MA 02019, 508-966-4516 or 617-265-0090. A purchase receipt will be required before warranty service is rendered. If you are shipping the product to us, it must be carefully packed, send prepaid, and adequately insured, and in the original packaging. Enclose a copy of your purchase receipt and a letter detailing the problem. Computer monitors MUST contain all original packaging in order for Parker Computer to provide warranty service.

Owner's responsibilities: The owner is responsible for making regular restorable backups of information stored on the equipment. The owner is responsible for reading the operator's guide to understand the operation and application of the unit, and how to adjust the jumpers, controls, and switches. The owner is responsible for determining the suitability of any software and/or hardware products connected to the unit purchased before installation or connection. Costs of repairs for problems, which did not arise as a result of defects in materials and workmanship, are not covered by this warranty.

Not covered by this warranty: Installation, delivery, and/or pickup of defective equipment, adjustment or setting of any consumer controls in the home, or connection with any other equipment are not covered by this warranty. This warranty covers normal consumer use and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failure which results from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance or negligence. Also not covered under this warranty are malfunctions which may occur as a result of defective or malfunctioning software products and equipment defects which occur as a result of improper or irregular power sources and uncontrolled static electricity in the users operating environment. Any alteration of the product after manufacture voids this warranty in its entirety. Monitors, printers and software are warranted by their respective manufacturers.

Parker Computer shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other types of damages resulting from the use of any Parker Computer products other than the liability stated above.

Additional Lifetime Labor Warranty for Parker Computer Systems

Parker Computer additionally agrees that for as long as the computer remains under the ownership of the individual or organization, which originally purchased the computer from Parker Computer, then Parker Computer will provide labor at no charge for the diagnosing and installation of replacement parts of any defective components which arise as a result of defects in materials and workmanship covered under the terms and conditions mentioned above. The cost of new replacement parts will be paid for by the customer. This additional lifetime extended labor warranty shall not cover the repair of any item not normally serviced by Parker Computer employees. Specifically, the repair of individual component parts such as video monitors, disk drives, circuit boards, keyboards, printers, memory products, cables and software are not covered by this warranty.

Memory/RAM Warranty

New memory/RAM SIMM modules purchased at Parker Computer after January 1, 2000 carry a 3-Year warranty which covers defects in workmanship and materials. Parker Computer will repair or replace defective memory modules.

Component and Peripheral Warranties

Components purchased at Parker Computer carry a 30 day - 1-Year warranty to cover defects in workmanship and materials. Some components have longer warranties. Customer is responsible for processing returns of defective products to manufacturers after the first year of ownership.
